We have an exciting opportunity, and wanted to share the news with you right away! 
Famed silhouette artist Tim Arnold - known as "The Silhouette Man" - will be coming through Texas the second week of December, and has asked to spend two days at Texas Threads to hand-cut keepsake heirloom silhouettes for our customers.
We first met Tim two years ago. Friends of ours in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee have highly recommended him. In fact, Tim is recommended by the Smithsonian Institution and is considered to be America's best silhouettist. In 1990, Tim had the honor of doing former President Bush's grandchildren. He's famous for his accuracy and beautiful interior detailing.
Cutting freehand, in a matter of five minutes, and using ordinary scissors, he skillfully transforms black paper into the timeless profile portaits. Kids do not sit still, and it doesn't matter how they are dressed. All ages are welcome, pets, too. And if your special subjects aren't in the immediate area, you need only bring a photograph of their profile -- the quality is just the same.
The cost for a facing pair of silhouettes of the same person is $40. These make timeless heirlooms for families -- and wonderful gifts for parents and grandparents.
We've been on Tim's waiting list for close to two years, and we feel so fortunate to offer this to our customers during the holiday!
